Since joining our Committee in 2002 has held the newly created post of Games and Fixtures Secretary. Everyone involved with running our Club teams will know the work that Danny put into this task.

During the playing season Danny is responsible for ensuring that all our teams playing home matches are accommodated in terms of pitches and that when problems arise as they so often do Danny is the man contacted to sort everything out from referees not turning up, to pitches been unplayable and fixtures needing to be rearranged. He also arranges training venues for all teams which is an extremely difficult task particularly in the winter months and is often called upon to provide transport as well.

Danny also arranges notification of results to the East Down and County Boards and he publishes results and fixtures both in the Clubrooms and on the Club website.

In addition Danny is in attendance for all general Committee meeting and Games Administration meetings and attends monthly Ladies County committee meetings representing the Club’s ladies teams. On top of all this Danny still makes time to help out with our many underage teams both hurling and football and arranging transport for our annual juvenile outings and trips.
