Accessing Foireann
The majority of Castlewellan members already have accounts on the GAA membership portal, Foireann (Irish for team), and can log in with their details. If you’ve forgotten your details, use the forgotten password/username options.
Contact the Registrar if you cannot access your account. Do not create a new account as it will result in the loss of your previous membership history.
New Club Members
New members should register on foireann.ie by following the “Setting Up a Foireann Account” guide.
Profile Management
Ensure your profile is complete and up to date, including all relevant medical information. This information is visible only to members of the Executive Committee who use it as part of their specific roles (e.g., Children’s Officer or Health and Safety Officer). Check that your date of birth is valid, as it may affect your eligibility to play. Tick all relevant communication boxes to receive club updates.
Family Membership
Completing this section correctly is required for family membership. Ensure each adult family member has a Foireann account and link your family profiles together. Follow the family management guide on Foireann to set up your family.
Events
As a club we primarily use Whatsapp to communicate, but the events functionality in Foireann can be used by Head Coaches to update players and parents regarding upcoming team events.
Teams
Ensure you and your family members are allocated to the correct teams for the season to receive relevant information. Once you’ve paid your membership, you’ll receive updates through Foireann.
Membership
After setting up your profile and family, register your membership for the current year. Membership rates were confirmed at the November 2023 AGM by participating members. All options and fees are available on Foireann. Follow the online registration guide to complete your registration.
