Policy on Acknowledging Success

St.Malachy’s GAC Castlewellan believes that success of Club teams and individuals representing the Club should be acknowledged by the Club.

 

In order to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all teams and individuals the following will guide acknowledgement by the Club. 

 

  • The policy applies to :-

            Any Club team/member winning a competition organised under the auspices of any GAA Board at National, Provincial, County or Divisional levels.

            To any individual representing the Club as a member of a national squad, or a championship winning representitive team at national – provincial – county or college levels.

            The policy will include team mentors and also Club referee’s who take charge of championship finals.

 

 

  • The policy will be effective from 1-10-04 and will not be applied in hindsight.

 

 

  • A club league winning team or a divisional championship winning team at underage level will receive a meal in the Club following the game.

 

 

  • A club team winning an All-County ‘A’ championship may keep their jersey’s on completion of the competition and will also receive a meal in the Club after the game.

 

 

  • All other winning representatives as idendified above will be acknowledged by an award at the annual dinner re-union, with a special presentation carrying the Club crest and the individuals name and achievement.

 

 

All-Ireland winning Club and Co. Teams will receive a reception in the town on the night they return from the final.
