The ladies started this year’s league with a defeat away to carryduff, with the game ending up at 8-08 to 5-11, early day’s yet girls

Sunday evening saw the u16 girls footballers play host to Ballymartin. Ballymartin came out strong and well drilled and took full advantage of a complacent Castlewellan team. Ballymartin much deserved the win of 7-9 to 7-13, although had to work hard for it in the second half. Credit must be given to Onnagh Rice in the back line for the town who worked tirelessly the whole game.
