Weekly Notes Sunday 23 November 2015 – AGM This Thursday 26 November 7-30pm in Club Rooms

The Club AGM is this Thursday 26 November 2015 at 7.30pm in the Clubrooms. Nominations are now closed. We request a full turnout out of as many members that is possible, we have plenty to ponder on when we reflect on the past year. Ladies Footballers, Senior Men, Camogs and our Hurlers. The club belongs to us all – have your say. You have a hard working committee, help them do their job and comevalong and lets hear your voice.

On Saturday some of youngest Hurlers and Camogs took park in the Guard of Honour before the Kilkenny Legends vrs CPN Ulster Select game in Pairc Esler. Well done to all the kids for taking part.

Thank you to Cumann Pheadaír Naofa, Warrenpoint for inviting our Under 10 & 12 hurlers to a training session on Sunday morning in which some of the Kilkenny Legends team attended along with the Liam McCarthy Cup. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the morning and advice which they received from the players.

Congratulations to Daniel Morgan, Aidy Burns and Kevin Duffin who have all been nominated for a Club Down Senior All Star. The gala dinner will take place Fri 4 Dec. It’s great to see the club being recognised after a great year in the Green & Black. Goodluck lads

 

Comhghairdeas to Saint Colman’s College on winning the McGreevy Cup. Special mention to club members Joseph Cunningham, Aidan Rodgers & Dara Rodgers.

 

If any parent wishes to purchase a camogie/hurling helmet or stick please contact Aidan Rodgers or Terry Connolly. The helmets cost £35.

 

The winter coaching sessions for boys and girls will continues on Wed Nov 25th. P1 to P4 inclusive from 6-7pm and P5 to P7 inclusive from 7-8pm in St Malachys HS. Everyone welcome.

 

Club gear can be picked up from the Clubroom on Tuesday November 24th between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.

The Juvenile Presentation night will take place in the Clubrooms on Friday December 4th at 7.30pm  

 

This weeks Lotto Draw Results: 5 – 12 – 15 – 24. No Jackpot winner. 1 x £20 winner – Miceal Corrigan. Next weeks Jackpot £10,450. The executive committee wish our Ex Chairman Ciaran Crilly a very speedy recovery. – If anybody knows a 7ft “Mouth from the South” & a “wee small man” can they please give there names to any committee member. These men have to be caught for the good of our community.
